Some idiot decides to list New Zealand on ebay. What a complete waste of time, considering he would never have made any money out of it nor gain any positive publicity. Is it any wonder he comes from across the ditch??
To purchase alcohol in Dubai, you need to have an alcohol licence. The process was actually easier than we thought! We simply had to drop by any of the MMI outlets [there's even one in our local mall!], fill out a form and we were away laughing. There is a charge of 150dhs, but we got the cost back in vouchers, so it really cost us nothing at all...
You can get just about everything at MMI - a good range of beers, liquor and wines from all regions. We are having a fine time sampling lovely Californian, and European wines. Simply divine!
As promised, albeit a little late! Here is the finished result of my first bowl from our session at Cafe Ceramique [see previous post].
It did not quite turn out as I'd hoped, nevertheless it's perfectly operational and acceptable to use as a bowl for cereal, pasta, or noodles!
Joy and I had so much fun, we went back this afternoon for more! I did another cereal bowl and Joy picked some condiment bowls. Can't wait to see the finished result this time when we pick it up in 7 days after they've been fired... Will keep you posted.
